Feng Shui for Agents: Align Your Space, Elevate Your Business
The big idea: your home is your real vision board
What you hang, where you sit, the light you let in—it all speaks. In my conversation with Kate Swick (Feng Shui consultant, astrologer, tarot reader), one line stuck: your home is the biggest vision board you’ll ever create. If you’re an agent building a career in Las Vegas or Summerlin, that matters. Your environment can either drain you—or drive momentum.
Why it matters: Agents don’t just sell spaces; we’re shaped by ours. Align the room and you often unlock the result.
Feng Shui, plain-English
Feng Shui is the intentional placement of objects to support balance and flow. Forget the clichés—this is practical:
Front door = opportunity. Keep it clear, clean, and easy to find.
Windows = clarity. Clean glass, clearer thinking.
Heavy items = inertia. Move a piece of furniture an inch to “unstick” energy.
Workspace = signal. Tidy, professional, purposeful beats cluttered and personal.
Why it matters: Small physical shifts act like micro-commitments. They cue your brain: I’m moving forward.
When business feels slow, start with your space
Sales dip. Phones go quiet. You spiral. Try this reset checklist from our talk:
Wipe the front door and refresh the welcome mat.
Open two windows for cross-ventilation—let energy move.
Clear one surface completely (desk or kitchen island).
Change one angle (rotate your chair/desk slightly).
Add one intention: “Opportunities flow to me with ease.”
Why it matters: You can’t always control outcomes. You can always control your process—and your environment is part of that process.
The office vs. the home office
Both matter. But they do different jobs.
At home (agent-life realities):
Define zones. The bedroom isn’t a gym, office, and library.
If space is tight, remove before you add.
Treat the garage entry (most-used door) like a front door: mat, lighting, order.
At the office (client-facing energy):
Keep personal photos minimal.
Lead with order: clean desk, working pen, printed agenda.
Fix “micro-frictions” (doorbell, squeaky hinge, burnt bulb).
Why it matters: Environments teach clients how to feel about working with you.
Astrology as a tool (not a fortune)
Kate’s take is pragmatic: astrology can validate who you are and help with timing. Business entities have “birth charts” too. You don’t have to believe in everything to benefit from awareness. Think of it as reading the weather before a listing launch.
Why it matters: Agents who respect seasons—market and personal—burn out less and calibrate better.
Quick wins you can implement today
Front door sweep (2 minutes): “I welcome listings and buyers aligned with my goals.”
Window clean (10 minutes): “I see solutions clearly.”
Chair/desk micro-rotate (30 seconds): “I’m moving forward.”
One-in, one-out rule: For every new item on your desk or wall, remove one.
Evening rinse ritual: Quick shower to “wash off” the day’s energy before family time.
Why it matters: Consistency compounds. Rituals create resilience.
For listing agents: presentation is energy
If a listing is stuck, look beyond price. Is the front door visible? Do cameras and cords scream “don’t come in”? Is there a single La-Z-Boy with no second chair (no space for a buyer’s future)? Your job is to notice—and guide.
Why it matters: People don’t just buy homes; they buy the feeling of life working there.

Perspective: Las Vegas real estate rewards the prepared. Preparation lives in your systems—and your space.
Close your eyes for ten seconds
Breathe in slowly through your nose. Exhale through your mouth.
Look at your desk, your door, your walls. Ask: Does this space support who I’m becoming?
If the answer is “not yet,” start with one shift. Momentum follows.
